Your role
Commissioning Engineer is to provide expert repair services for our engineered-to-order centrifugal compressors, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety. You are committed to ensuring the performance and longevity of your customers' technology through your expertise. Your work is important for supporting the operational success and technological advancement of industries relying on these technologies. You will report to the Field Service Team Leader and work alongside a team of other Commissioning Engineers and Commissioning support personnel.
- Lead the commissioning of centrifugal compressor packages installed in a broad range of chemical, petrochemical, power generation, and liquid natural gas plants around the world at our customers' sites.
- Test and configure surge protection systems.
- Ensure the success of compressor-to-plant integration.
- Communicate with customers and exercise best safety practices during all commissioning phases.
- Prepare daily project activity and technical reports.
- Represent Atlas Copco to our global customers and build relationships to ensure we remain first in mind, first in choice to our customers.
- Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various technical systems. Diagnose any issues to prevent equipment downtime.
- Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
- Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.
- You hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- You are looking to be hands on with industrial equipment to demonstrate your mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- You can interpret engineering drawings and comprehend industrial processes.
- You are excited to work with the diverse cultures of our global customers.
- You are willing to travel up to 80% on a domestic and global scale.
- Commissioning assignments are project‑based and typically require on average a minimum of four consecutive weeks on site. For longer projects, employees are rotated home after 60 days, followed by a scheduled break of approximately one week prior to the next assignment.

Earn a base salary ranging from $65,200 to $86,700, commensurate with your experience and qualification. Additionally, you will be eligible for up to a $10,000 annual bonus.
You will be part of our production team in Voorheesville. You will join a dynamic field service team, working remotely and spending a significant amount of time traveling to visit customers within your designated area, United States (US).
