Retail Execution Coordinator

We are looking for a Junior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in New York. This is a hands‑on role supporting financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives in a fast‑paced, growing business.

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Perform general ledger reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries and accruals
• Maintain fixed asset registers and support depreciation calculations
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

• Support internal and external audits, including documentation and requests
• Assist with tax and compliance activities under supervision
• Maintain organized financial records to support audit readiness
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements

• Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and management dashboards
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provide insights into financial performance trends
• Contribute to improving reporting processes and tools Systems & Process Improvement
  • Maintain data accuracy across financial systems and spreadsheets
  • Support system updates, testing, and documentation
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and data quality
  • Assist with implementation of new systems or automation
  General Support
  • Assist with ad‑hoc reporting and finance projects
  • Support continuous improvement of financial processes
  Requirements Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Approximately 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • CPA or CA (or working toward) is a plus
  Skills
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis, etc.)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment
  Nice to Have
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g. Business Central or similar)
  • Experience in FMCG, beauty, or pharmaceutical industries
