About

the Role

As an Enterprise/Strategic Field Engineer, you’ll be the technical cornerstone for Replit’s largest and most strategic accounts. You’ll own the end‑to‑end technical relationship—from pre‑sales architecture discussions through multi‑year expansion—ensuring our enterprise customers don’t just use Replit, but become Replit‑powered companies.

Responsibilities Post‑Sales (80% – Your Primary Focus)
  • Own Technical Onboarding:
    Build and execute 90‑day success plans to drive Time‑to‑First‑Value. You will ensure customers deploy their first production solutions in Replit or establish enterprise prototyping workflows, and set governance processes in place.
  • Drive Continuous Adoption & Viral Growth:
    Build relationships and trust with key technical and business stakeholders, proactively run enablement sessions, technical workshops, and hackathons to keep teams building and increasing the value they gain from Replit.
  • Source & Qualify Expansion Opportunities:
    Proactively identify new teams, use cases, and projects. Provide technical validation and support commercial close.
  • Run Value‑Based QBRs:
    Co‑lead quarterly business reviews with Account Managers, shifting the conversation to business value delivered and strategic roadmap alignment.
  • Be the Voice of the Customer:
    Act as an internal advocate to Product and Engineering. Your feedback directly shapes Replit’s roadmap.
Pre‑Sales (20% – High Impact)
  • Strategic Technical Discovery:
    When pulled into complex deals, join as the expert closer. Run deep discovery on the deal’s stack and constraints, then design the technical win strategy.
  • Proof of Value (POV) & Live Building:
    Build live, functional applications on the fly during executive meetings to prove immediate value and technical feasibility to VPs and C‑suite stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 5‑7+ years in technical customer‑facing roles such as Solutions Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Sales Engineer, Customer Engineer, or Forward Deployed Engineer at a high‑growth B2B SaaS or dev tools company.
  • Proven post‑sales ownership:
    Managed a book of 15‑25+ enterprise accounts, driving adoption, expansion, and renewal with measurable NRR impact.
  • Pre‑sales technical selling experience:
    Ran POCs, onboarding sessions, webinars, and workshops. Led technical meetings, translating vague or concrete requirements into clear technical concepts.
  • Hands‑on technical credibility:
    Read and write code (JavaScript, Python, or similar). Built applications and understand APIs, databases, CI/CD pipelines, and modern cloud architecture.
  • Exceptional communication:
    Explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical executives and translate business requirements into technical architecture.
  • Comfort with up to 25% travel (expect 30%+).
Nice to Have
  • Active Replit user.
  • Experience with AI‑powered dev tools, IDEs, source control, or developer platforms (Git Hub, Git Lab, V0, Cursor, Windsurf, Lovable, Claude Code, Zapier, etc.).
  • Understanding of AI Evaluation patterns (Evals) and Context Management (RAG, System Prompts).
  • Hands‑on experience building or configuring Model Context Protocol servers.
  • Background in Dev Ops, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), or SRE.
  • Experience running paid professional services engagements or customer workshops.
