What You'll Be Doing

* Perform basic visual and/or physical in-process testing to ensure high quality standards are met.

* You will have the opportunity to rotate among stations within work center/department and may be assigned to more complex tasks, as needed, to facilitate cross training and to cover department/work center needs.

* Your ability to work from blueprints, diagrams, and process sheets will help you to determine set-up procedures, equipment and materials needed, assembly process, safety precautions, cycle time and related requirements.

* You may work with basic chemicals in performing assembly detail as well as use simple machinery to prepare component parts for further assembly.

* You will work with a diverse group of people, your positive and enthusiastic demeanor will aid you in assisting higher-level Assemblers in more complicated assemblies or final production, as needed.

* Likewise, ability to diagnose faulty operations, product imperfections, and/or equipment malfunctions will enable you to work with technical and supervisory personnel to resolve discrepancies.

* Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate inventory count of completed work as well as monitoring work and insuring requirements are being met with regard to schedule, quality and quantity.

* You may package component parts or assemblies for shipment, ensuring protection from potential shipment damage and that all vital parts and instructions are present.

What You'll Bring

* A high school diploma or equivalency

* 1 year (minimum) of successful experience in assembly/related functional area is preferred.

* You must have good mechanical dexterity/eyesight, ability to read, write and use basic math; maintain a high degree of accuracy in performing repetitive tasks.

* The successful candidate is able to adapt to a changing work environment, including: increased automation, change in production methods or sequences and rotation among workstations.

* You work well with others and actively participate in team problem-solving activities.

* You may be requested to work overtime, as needed.
