Atria Books and Primero Sueño Press are seeking a Marketing Assistant to work on publications in both English and Spanish. This role will report to the Atria Marketing Director and Associate Director of Publicity & Marketing. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn all aspects of book publishing with a focus on both the English and Spanish language markets.

The right candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, and must be proficient in speaking and writing across both languages.

Overview:
The Marketing Assistant will support bilingual marketing efforts for English- and Spanish-language publications, reporting to the Atria Marketing Director and Associate Director of Publicity & Marketing.

• create/translate press materials and advertising copy
• book author tour travel
• author schedule upkeep
• research contacts
• pitch media
• prepare and schedule social media
• digital marketing strategy
• bookseller/librarian outreach (print and digital mailings)
• consumer outreach (Goodreads giveaways, Net Galley, etc.)
• content marketing
• academic marketing
• administrative duties like routing distros, maintaining budget grids, and coordinating the Atria influencer program

• fluency in both English and Spanish, including speaking and writing across both languages
• strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
• ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• proficiency in Excel, Google Docs, PowerPoint, Canva, social media platforms, and general computer skills

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
