Veterinary Assistant

The Veterinary Eye Center is looking for a Veterinary Assistant and animal lover to join our growing team at our location in Manhattan. Veterinary experience is required. We are a staff of inspired veterinary professionals, practicing modern medicine in a state of the art and collaborative environment. We believe in helping you grow. Whether you're brand new or a seasoned pro. Veterinary Assistants here are eligible to receive unlimited CE reimbursement for things like conferences, wet labs, and skill‑building courses (plus we’ll cover up to $750 per year in related travel expenses if needed). You’ll even have the chance to bring back what you learned and share it with the team.

• Assist Doctor and Technicians in providing a seamless client and patient appointment experience
• Handling and restraint of patients for consultation exams and patient sample collection
• Handling and submission of patient samples to in‑house and external laboratory
• Thorough cleaning, organization, and stocking of appointment exam rooms and appointment treatment area

• 1+ years’ experience as a Veterinary Assistant
• Confidence with handling and restraint
• The ability to work independently, responsibly, and ethically
• A resourceful nature and creative problem‑solving skills
• An openness to feedback, coaching, and continuous learning
• A commitment to the welfare of animals
