Entry Level: Customer Operations AssociateWe are seeking a Customer Operations Associate to join our rapidly growing team as we work to innovate and re-imagine the fashion resale experience. As our Customer Operations Associate, you will be responsible for all direct to customer operations. You will be the first point of contact for our Customer Service department, with a goal of process innovation and operational excellence to ultimately exceed customer expectations.
You may be required to interface with customers on the phone and via email so strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. The ideal candidate is customer, process, and operationally focused. The ability to work independently and within a team will also be key for success within this position. This role is cross functional and requires a high level of communication with both customers and our internal Operations and Merchandising teams.
We are seeking candidates with sophisticated communication skills and a background in fashion, retail management, and/or operations to own all customer facing operational touchpoints and processes.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage daily eBay store and The Wrld customer returns
- Work closely with the Customer Service team to troubleshoot shipping delays and carrier claims
- Maintain Valet pick up schedule and logistics, coordinate all agents
- Review and maintain a high quality standard for all customer procedures
- Accurately process all Material Wrld trade-in customer payments
- Work with Merchandising and Operations teams to provide process feedback
- Closely collaborate with Operations team to maintain inventory controls
- Support the relationship between Material Wrld and our shipping carriers
- Think critically about how to impact overall process and streamline customer processes
Experience and Qualifications:
- Recent college grad with internship experience in fashion, retail, operations or a related field
- Must be seeking a fast paced startup work environment
- Has ability to communicate effectively in a professional and customer-centric manner
- Possesses customer empathy and patience
- Self-starter who’s flexible and can remain organized while prioritizing multiple and sometimes conflicting tasks
- Problem solver with the ability to think critically about streamlining internal processes
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
