Everest Auto Repair Service Advisor Job Description
The purpose of the Service Advisor is to have a responsible and dependable person able to operate the daily business of the front counter and manage the daily sales activities, either in association with, or in the absence of the business owner/manager.
QualificationsThe Service Advisor must be able to clearly demonstrate their ability to set and reach performance goals. They must conduct every aspect of their job in an ethical manner. They must have the ability to sell recommended service; manage and motivate the company’s production personnel; work well under pressure; and resolve customer as well as employee issues in a professional, expedient manner.
The Service Advisor must also have the ability to manage and control the technical productivity as well as be productive themselves per responsibilities listed below.
Areas of ResponsibilityThe Service Advisor is responsible for assisting or performing in the absence of the business owner/manager all the daily productivity in the business. This responsibility includes but is not limited to: a dedication to the company’s mission statement, to employee development, to company profitability and to 100% customer satisfaction. Also, responsible for following the company policies and procedures.
Basic Key Performance Indicators- Courtesy Checks Completion Rate 75%
- Customer satisfaction 98% or higher
- Presenting accurate estimates to customers, upselling maintenance, updating customers.
- Coordination of customer pick-up & delivery.
- Answer Phones with a cheerful and professional tone.
- Customer Service – accurate/informative scheduling, positive greetings, check-in & check-out process.
- Facilities Maintenance: cleaning front office, customer area & restroom. Outside clean-up.
- Parts procurement.
- Filing.
- Inventory management.
- Parts & core returns.
- Shipping and Receiving.
- Errands as assigned.
- Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned.
- Maintain a very clean and organized work space.
- Coordination of production & monitor work flow through the shop to insure customer promise times are met
- Customer service and sales interaction.
- Exiting scheduling, next maintenance scheduling.
- Handle customer inquiry and complaints in an ethical and professional manner.
