Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant at Litera, you’ll own the accuracy and timeliness of expenses and accruals across a global, multi‑entity business running on Net Suite. You’ll partner with teammates across multiple time zones, drive a clean and timely month‑end close, and help re‑engineer accounting workflows with automation and AI. The role requires on‑site presence at least three days per week and is based in one of the listed office locations.

• Own assigned general ledger accounting and month‑end close activities, including journal entry posting, account reconciliations, flux analyses, and all associated reporting requirements, to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
• Prepare and review accruals across a multi‑entity global organization.
• Partner with FP&A, AP, and other budget stakeholders in multiple time zones to ensure expenses are properly classified, accrued, and explained.
• Identify, implement, and maintain best‑in‑class systems and processes, including automation and AI‑assisted workflows, to ensure an efficient and effective accounting team.
• Support external audit requests, internal controls documentation, and technical accounting research as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA required.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• 2–6 years of accounting experience demonstrating increasing responsibility.
• Demonstrated track record of automating and improving accounting processes.
• Advanced Excel expertise (complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and macros/VBA).
• Experience with high‑growth software company and/or private equity ownership a plus.
• General ledger and other accounting systems experience.
• Prior Net Suite experience a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across time zones and cultures.
• Flexibility and adaptability – comfortable with shifting priorities, new tools, and evolving processes.
