Job Title: Site Manager (Client-Side)
Location: Central Jersey
Employment Type: Contract (approx. 4 months, with potential to become full-time)
OverviewWe are seeking two Site Managers (Client-Side) to support a portfolio of public-sector construction and renovation projects over the summer period. These roles are well-suited to individuals with a construction background who are looking to build experience in project delivery and client-side management.
This is a hands-on, site-based position focused on oversight, coordination, and contractor management rather than technical design or delivery. There is strong potential for these roles to transition into permanent positions depending on performance and project needs.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the client representative on-site, overseeing day-to-day construction activities
- Monitor contractors to ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, and project standards
- Coordinate and oversee multiple contractors across active sites
- Review drawings and understand project scope to ensure correct execution
- Track site progress, activity, and workforce using digital tools
- Lead and coordinate site meetings, including progress and coordination sessions
- Identify risks or issues early and elevate where required
- Help ensure projects stay on schedule during a critical delivery period
- Support interior renovation works such as bathrooms, roofing, and similar scopes
- Background in construction, engineering, or a related field
- Experience working on public-sector projects is essential
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contractors
- Comfortable working full-time on-site (5 days per week)
- Basic computer skills for tracking, reporting, and coordination
- Strong communication skills with confidence leading meetings
- Early-career professionals or those with moderate experience
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and motivated to grow professionally
- Interested in progressing into Project Engineer or more senior roles over time
- Experience with public-sector or institutional projects is advantageous
