Our client is seeking a Senior Power Mechanical Project Engineer to join its Power & Infrastructure team
. This is an immediate opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a technical leadership role on complex power generation projects and contribute to industry‑leading design solutions.
As a Senior Power Engineer
, you will lead the mechanical design and execution of power generation projects up to 200MW
, including both combined cycle and simple cycle plants.
You will play a critical role in ensuring technical excellence, design integrity, and successful project delivery
, while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
Serve as the mechanical subject matter expert for power generation projects (25–200MW)
Lead design execution for combined cycle and simple cycle combustion turbine systems
Supervise and mentor engineers, providing technical leadership and guidance
Perform engineering calculations, system modeling, and code compliance analysis
Oversee design quality and peer review processes
Collaborate with leadership on RFP responses, proposals, and cost estimates
Support multidisciplinary coordination across electrical, civil, structural, and controls teams
Participate in construction‑phase activities, including site visits, testing, and design coordination
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering
15+ years of experience in power generation engineering
Strong experience with IPP and utility‑scale combustion turbine plants
Hands‑on experience with GE, Siemens, and/or Solar turbines
Proven ability to deliver projects in a multi‑disciplinary BIM environment
Deep expertise in:
- Combustion turbines and internal combustion engines
- Heat recovery systems, boilers, and balance‑of‑plant equipment
- Working knowledge of codes and regulatory requirements (local, state, national)
- Ability to coordinate across electrical, structural, civil, controls, and permitting disciplines
- Experience supporting construction phases (site visits, factory testing, piping, shop drawings)
- Pipe stress analysis experience is a plus
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit is a plus)
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills
