IT Project Manager, Data Analyst
Location: New York, NY
We are representing a quantitative trading and research firm operating at the intersection of mathematics, technology, and market structure. The firm designs, builds, and deploys systematic strategies in U.S. equities with a relentless focus on rigor, discipline, and continuous improvement.
As the firm enters its next phase of growth, it is investing heavily in the operating infrastructure that supports its research and trading platform. To support this effort, the firm is hiring a Project Manager to design and lead its project management function across technology and research.
This is a foundational hire. The successful candidate will build the firm’s project management system from the ground up, introduce disciplined PMO practices, and become the connective layer between leadership, engineers, and quantitative researchers.
This role is designed for a technically fluent Project Manager who has worked directly with software engineers and data or research teams. Candidates whose background is primarily regulatory, audit, PMO governance, or non-technical domains are unlikely to be a fit.
The RoleThe Project Manager will own how work is planned, prioritized, sequenced, and delivered across the firm’s core technology and research teams. The mandate is to ensure that the highest-value initiatives are clearly defined, properly resourced, and delivered with transparency and accountability.
This role serves as the primary interface between trading and research teams and the core development group, translating real-world trading and research needs into well-scoped, executable development work.
