Supervisor, HVAC Shop- Medical Center

Responsibilities

• Manage the maintenance and repair of all HVAC systems within the medical center, including chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, pumps, building controls and related equipment.
• Ensure all HVAC systems critical to patient care remain fully operational and are maintained in accordance with safety and regulatory standards, including air exchanges, pressure differentials, temperature, and humidity.
• Respond promptly to urgent HVAC issues and system outages, delivering effective solutions to minimize service disruptions and ensure continuity of medical center operations.
• Manage the maintenance and repair of all refrigeration systems within the medical center, including refrigerators, freezers and any refrigerant‑containing equipment.
• Ensure all refrigeration systems critical to patient care remain fully operational and are maintained in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to urgent refrigeration issues and system outages, delivering effective solutions to minimize service disruptions and ensure continuity of medical center operations.
• Assist the Manager in applying ILSM protocols during fire detection/suppression equipment impairment supporting HVAC equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Associate degree in engineering technology or related field (preferred).
• High School Diploma is required.

• 10+ years as a Journeyman HVAC Mechanic (required).
• 7+ years of experience in healthcare facilities HVAC shop management or related role (required).

• Journeyman or Master HVAC Mechanic.
• EPA Universal certification.
