AboutThe Role
At Friendsview Retirement Community, we believe in creating a workplace that’s built on integrity, compassion, and community. We’re looking for someone who’s organized, calm under pressure, and people-focused to help our Health Services team stay fully staffed and ready to provide top-tier care.
You’ll be our go-to person for filling in the gaps when staff call out — especially on evenings, nights, and weekends. If you’re a born communicator who’s tech-savvy, proactive, and knows how to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, you’ll thrive in this role.
What You’ll Do- Be on-call for shift coverage needs (evenings/nights/weekends)
- Help manage Health Services schedules and fill open shifts fast
- Respond to staff call-ins, document them properly, and follow up with respect and confidentiality
- Understand—or be willing to learn—laws and policies around protected leave, payroll, and scheduling
- Help track licenses and certification renewals for staff
- Support training, orientation, and performance review logistics
- Keep things organized and documented—never compromising privacy
- Have at least one year of experience in a healthcare or 24/7 service environment
- Comfortable with—and willing to learn—digital tools like electronic scheduling, payroll platforms, EMRs, and Microsoft Office
- Able to balance fairness and efficiency when building and adjusting schedules
- A natural communicator who can stay calm and professional, even when the pressure’s on
- Strong judgment and leadership presence—even if you’re not managing a team
- Respect for confidentiality and experience navigating diverse workplace dynamics
- Have a degree or training in office administration, health information, or HR
- Know a little about Oregon’s healthcare and employment laws
- Are a team player who lives out servant leadership values
- Love organization, timelines, and helping others succeed
- Must pass a DHS background check, drug screen, and reference checks
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and provide required documents
- May need to drive occasionally (valid license and insurance required)
At Friendsview, you’re not just filling shifts — you’re helping ensure high-quality care for residents who rely on consistency, compassion, and respect. We’re a mission-driven, not-for-profit community with a heart for service and a culture built on trust and teamwork.
