Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineer
KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Electrical Engineer, Junior, to join our team. This position is contingent upon contract award. This position requires fully onsite work in Newport, Rhode Island.
Established in July 2013, KAIROS, Inc. is a growing Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) specializing in Life Cycle Program Management, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Logistics and Sustainment, Enterprise Platforms and AI, and Additive Manufacturing services focused on optimizing customers’ program performance and mission through proven methodologies and ethical practices.
This position will design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment, including broadcast and communications systems, electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, and wiring in buildings, automobiles, aircraft, radar and navigation systems, and transmission devices used by electric utilities.
Responsibilities- Design new products, write performance requirements, and develop maintenance schedules.
- Test equipment, solve operating problems, and estimate the time and cost of engineering projects.
- Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.
- Strong customer relations, analytics, and documentation skills
- Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality
- Microsoft office suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point
- Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and meet competing, deliverable deadlines
- Detail oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues
- Ability to adapt to evolving technology
- Experience with cable block diagrams, cable run sheets, and cable fabrication drawings.
- Experience using MATLAB
- Bachelor's level degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. In order to complete the requirements for government security clearance you must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation. This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance.
CompensationWhile skills, education, and experience are key factors, they are not the sole determinants of salary. Other determining factors include but are not limited to location, contract budgets and requirements, and government labor category guidelines. The estimated salary range for this position is $68,000 to $85,000. KAIROS also provides a comprehensive benefits package as additional employee compensation.
