• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
• Administer and monitor medications, including patient education on use and side effects
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in condition
• Respond to urgent or crisis situations within the residential setting
• Communicate with prescribers regarding orders, refills, and clinical updates
• Collaborate with treatment teams, patients, and families
• Support admissions, transfers, and continuity of care
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Kansas
• Ability to maintain required licensure, certifications, and continuing education
• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions, including in urgent or emergent situations
• Proficiency with basic computer and documentation systems
• Ability to pass required state background checks (KBI, Central Registry, and DCF)

• BSN preferred but not required
• Two years of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience
• CPI certification
• Full‑time availability

• Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, and safely assist with patient restraints when necessary
• Ability to observe patient behavior and respond in a calm, non-judgmental, and therapeutic manner
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet patient and program needs
