Geo Owl is seeking a highly experienced Senior Image Scientist to support the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. This position focuses on advanced image processing, algorithm development, scientific software engineering, and electro-optical (EO) data exploitation in support of critical national security and space intelligence missions.
The selected candidate will develop and enhance image processing tools and techniques, create software solutions for EO data analysis, evaluate image quality and sensor performance, and support the delivery of operational capabilities to intelligence analysts and mission stakeholders. Responsibilities include algorithm development, testing and validation, documentation, training, and technical support for image exploitation systems operating in classified environments.
Required Qualifications:- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility
- Master's degree in Image Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in image science, image processing, remote sensing, algorithm development, or scientific software engineering
- Proficiency with MATLAB and/or Python
- Experience with EO sensor systems, image enhancement, and image quality analysis
- Familiarity with TIFF, HDF5, NITF, and other imagery formats
- PhD in a related scientific discipline
- Experience supporting NRO, NGA, NSIC, NASIC, or other Intelligence Community organizations
Experience with machine learning, GPU processing, or advanced image enhancement techniques - Knowledge of space-based EO sensor phenomenology
This is an on-site position supporting advanced space intelligence and imagery exploitation missions.
