One-on-One Aides Girard Schools

Position: One-on-One Aides -- Girard City Schools
POSITION:

* One-on-One Aides

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Education:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

* Valid Educational Aide permit with ESEA Endorsement.

* Experience working with Special Needs children preferred.

* Must have or be willing to complete appropriate training including Crisis Prevention Training.

* Experience working with children in a classroom or educational setting is strongly preferred.

* Knowledge of classroom instructional strategies, child development, and learning styles.

* Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.

* Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

* Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

* Ability to motivate and engage students.

* Patience, flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward student learning and development.

* Work directly with a designated student to provide academic, behavioral, and social support.

* Willingness to assist with special circumstances for students with medical needs

* Demonstrate professionalism and the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and the administration.

* Adhere to Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.

* Must have a successful drug test

* Must have successful BCI and FBI background checks

* Must be willing and able to carry out the duties of the job description

* Position is dependent upon student status remaining in the Girard City School District and the conditions of his/her IEP. (Individualized Education Program)
