Overview

Job Summary Baptist Medical Center is currently looking for a Pharmacist to join our team at Baptist Medical Center Clay. This is a PRN opportunity, working a variety of day, evening, and weekend shifts. This Pharmacist will be checking patient orders, authorizations, dispensing medications, will be supervising technicians, and consulting with other medical staff on medication and regimens. This Pharmacist will have the autonomy to work independently within a small team with technician support.

A Pharmacist's license in the State of Florida is required as well as inpatient hospital pharmacy experience. IV Room/ Infusion experience and a completed PGY1 is preferred, but not required.

• Entering orders with great accuracy.
• Checking technician work for accuracy prior to release of medications and solutions to the floor.
• Supervising technicians and serving on committees as assigned.
• Answering questions for all health care professionals.
• Serving as a consultant for members of the medical staff.
• Monitoring patient therapy as assigned, including pharmacokinetics services.

• Education Required:
  
  Bachelor's Degree
• Preferred Education:
  
  Doctorate
• 1-2 years Hospital Pharmacy Experience
• 1-2 years Experience with Automated Dispensing Devices
• Residency Training
• Experience with Pharmacy Information Systems

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
• Registered Pharmacist Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
• Licensed Pharmacist Required
