- Electrical Design & Engineering:
- Develop electrical system designs for integration into various projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, standards, and client specifications.
- Create and review detailed electrical schematics, diagrams, layouts, and wiring plans.
- Work closely with project teams to provide technical input on electrical design, integration, and system performance.
- Perform load analysis, fault current analysis, and coordination studies.
- Develop and review technical specifications for electrical equipment, panels, and components.
- Project Management Support:
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of electrical design solutions.
- Assist with cost estimation and budgeting for electrical system components and designs.
- Support project documentation, including the preparation of submittals, reports, and manuals.
- Quality Assurance & Testing:
- Ensure electrical designs meet safety and quality standards by reviewing and testing electrical systems before implementation.
- Assist in the troubleshooting and resolution of design or installation-related issues during project execution.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, and systems engineers) to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and design staff.
- Assist in vendor selection, management, and collaboration to procure electrical components.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to electrical system design.
- Proactively contribute ideas and solutions to optimize electrical designs, improve system efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., LEED, PMP, PE) are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in [specific industry, e.g., automation, building systems, or industrial controls].
- Hands-on experience with electrical system design tools and software (AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, SKM Power Tools, etc.).
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NEC, IEC, UL, etc.).
- Experience with systems integration and project management is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, controls, and automation.
- Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
- Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
- Strong time management and organizational skills
