Job OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and dependable Janitor to join our team and play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our [facility – medical, office, venue, etc.]. The Janitor will ensure that our facility remains a welcoming and sanitary space for [patients, visitors, and staff].
Responsibilities- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all common areas, waiting rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
- Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons.
- Empty and properly dispose of trash and [medical] waste according to established guidelines.
- Refill dispensers for soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning meeting rooms and event spaces as necessary.
- Collaborate with maintenance and facility teams to address any issues related to building cleanliness and safety.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Other tasks and projects requested by the customer and/or Advanced, Inc team.
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Understanding of infection control practices and the importance of maintaining a sanitary environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work during both day and evening shifts as required.
- Background checks will be conducted in accordance with applicable law.
- Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Employees must be able to be on their feet most of the day.
