CAD Technician - CAD Technician

Location: North Reading, Massachusetts (Onsite)

Employment Type: Contract

This role is responsible for creating detailed drawings of material handling equipment, work areas, and material handling components. The position supports current examples and future design initiatives. The drawings will require a high level of detail in both plan and elevation views. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, able to work with minimal direction, and create drawing sets to standardize work spaces and designs across a large network of fulfillment operations.

• Create detailed drawings of material handling equipment, work areas, and components.
• Develop drawings with a high level of detail in both plan and elevation views.
• Support design initiatives for future projects.
• Create drawing sets that standardize designs across multiple fulfillment operations.
• Work independently with minimal direction.

• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Drafting and Design.
• Minimum 5 years of operating experience in CAD with the ability to work with and manage layers.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience drawing in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment.
• Basic knowledge of material handling and storage systems.

• Conveyor design and layout experience.
• Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree.
• Ability to communicate to various audiences.
• Ability to lead small groups.

The pay rate for this position is between $39.00 and $49.00 per hour.
