Grade School Class Teacher

Overview

Grades Class Teacher – The Vancouver Waldorf School, located in North Vancouver, British Columbia, is seeking a permanent full-time Grades Class Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year.

The successful candidate will have a passion for Waldorf education and inspire a love of learning in children and youth. They will carry a class of up to 30 students, with strong class management and organizational skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate across departments.

• lesson planning & classroom preparation
• teaching the main lesson
• teaching track classes
• report writing

• attendance at faculty meetings
• school liaison for parents
• facilitating parent evenings
• attendance at school events and faculty meetings
• acting as a substitute teacher in other classrooms, if needed

• BC Teacher Certification or the ability to qualify
• five years or more of Waldorf Class Teaching is preferred
• Waldorf Training Certificate or willingness to begin training within two years of hire
• fluency in written and spoken English

Salary: $53,810 - $85,156/year prorated to FTE based on experience and credentials
