Lead the Future of Adult Social Careas a Senior Group Manager in North Yorkshire.
North Yorkshire Council is seeking adynamic and visionary Senior Group Manager (Adults) to join our Health and Adult Services Directorate. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for shaping and delivering high-quality adult social care services across the county.
You will lead a group of operational managers and oversee services supporting adults with physical disabilities,learning disabilities, and neurodiverse. With a budget responsibility exceeding £50 million, youll play a key role in driving transformation, ensuring compliance, and delivering strategic priorities aligned with our Council Planand HAS 2030 vision.

- Lead on countywide transformation programmes, improving outcomes for adults across North Yorkshire.
- Work in partnership with NHSproviders, ICBs, and care collaboratives to deliver integrated, person-centered care.

What we are looking for:
We are seeking a proven leader with:
- Extensive experience in adult social care or health systems.
- Strong strategic and operational management skills.
- A track record of delivering results through partnership working.
- Deep understanding of statutoryframeworks including the Care Act, Mental Health Act, and CQC regulations.
- A professional qualification in social care or health, or equivalent experience.

- Lead and oversee the operational management of locality based adult social care teams across the county.
- Drive performance, transformation, and service improvement.
- Ensure financial sustainability and regulatory compliance.
- Represent the Directorate at strategicforums and influence policy.
- Champion co-production and community-based approaches.

Job Context
- Thepost holder will support the Adult Social Care Leadership Team and will undertake a delegated role from senior leadership team colleagues with functionfor supporting the performance of the whole of Health and Adult Services.
- Thepostholder will operationally manage the Councils social care teams supporting adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, acquired brain injury, sensory services and preparing for adulthood across the County.
- Thepost holder will have delegated responsibility for development of care and support services for adults in line with key partners providing leadershipacross the health and social care systems to continually improve performance across the national care agenda.
- This role will be fundamental in acting assupport the Senior Leadership Team in the delivery of strategic service planning to ensure the transformation, saving and strategic priorities are deliveredin line with the Council Plan and HAS 2030 underpinned by the Governance Framework.
- Thepost holder will work in conjunction with the Head of Adults and Head of Older Adults, to ensure effective services and strong and consistent practice acrossthe County.
- Therole will require the post holder to work with other Directorates and other colleagues across the Council.
- Thepost holder is fundamental in supporting the delivery of the Journey of Continuous Improvement across Adult Social Care including identified keyimprovement areas.
- Toensure compliance with all statutory social care requirements including theCare Act, the Mental Health Act, the Mental Capacity Act, Health and Social Care Act and all other relevant Legislation.
