We are pleased to be able to offer an exciting opportunity to join the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Programme Team at Northampton General Hospital. In partnership with our chosen supplier, we have embarked on our digital excellence journey to implement a nationally‑leading EPR system that will transform the quality of care for our patients and staff by having instantly accessible information using the latest mobile technology, reducing paper usage and utilising clinical decision support tools.
The Digital Clinical Facilitators will work as part of a dynamic Chief Clinical Information Officer team. The postholder will have an understanding of digital systems and will support the Digital Clinical Leads and Transformation Specialists with efficient and effective management of the on‑going EPR development, education, implementation and training of our NGH EPR. The role is responsible for facilitating digital transformation for new digital solutions and upgrades to existing digital solutions across NGH with clear collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as required.
We are seeking Digital Clinical Facilitators from Nursing discipline. We have two roles available, one for a nurse with paediatric background and one for a nurse with adult nursing background including theatres and critical care.
The roles are full time with clinical commitment which will be agreed upon appointment.
Main duties of the jobThe role is responsible for operating as a key member of the Chief Clinical Information Officer portfolio which focuses on ensuring there is clinical engagement at all levels of the Group Digital Strategy. The postholder will support Digital Clinical Leads and Transformation Specialists by contributing to improving standards of care through the effective use of digital solutions.
The Digital Clinical Facilitators will work with multi‑professional teams to facilitate improving patient care by participating in audits, research and benefits realisation data collection, analysis and subsequent improvements to our processes.
The postholder will participate in engagement with end users to ensure clear documentation of current state processes and subsequent future state processes and support in clinical hazard workshops as required. They will work with members of the multidisciplinary team within the hospitals and at community venues, including all clinical colleagues, operational colleagues, administrative personnel and all teams within Digital and the EPR Programme.
The postholder will work collaboratively with our digital teams and clinical teams by acting as a representative of their clinical profession to ensure we are using technology effectively and efficiently to improve the quality of care and patient safety.
