Position: Electrical Engineer - Temp to Perm - 84/hr

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar from an ABET accredited university.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems, including distribution to end use.
  • Solid knowledge and application of the electrical requirements per NFPA 70, 70E, 72, 101, 110, building codes, energy codes, and other related standards such as IEEE and ASHRAE standards.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experience.
  • Solid knowledge in practice and procedures for specifications and selection of all types of electrical equipment and hardware.
  • Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications.
  • Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications.
  • Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
  • EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • 5 years experience as a facility engineer.
  • Working knowledge of Instrumentation & Controls design-related deliverables such as P&IDs, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, control narratives, etc.
  • Experience with control panel design, including UL508A requirements.
  • Proficient working knowledge of electrical modeling software such as SKM Power Tools (PTW), ETap, Easy Power.
  • Proficient working knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, Revit or BIM
    360.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Passionate about buildings and construction.
