Position: Field Service Engineer (Control Systems)
The Role :
Troubleshoot, repair, install, and update our products at client sites as needed
Consult with customers regarding product operation, product optimization, technical troubleshooting and usage training
Aid in optimizing revenue and new product development opportunities while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and customer satisfaction
Perform Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and Installation/Operational Qualification (IQ/OQ) Protocols
Provide regular updates to management on customer requests for new products and on competitive activity; provide customer feedback to hardware and software groups
Develop and implement technical assistance and product training to Sales group
Obtain customer software backups as necessary
Interface technically and assist in demonstration of Finesse products to potential customers
Unpack equipment, stage equipment in customer’s lab: Computers, Vessel stations (G3 Lab Universals, G3 Pro, etc.), TruLogic, Scales (if applicable), TCU (if applicable)
Connect all process and network cables as well as utilities (electrical, chilled water, etc.)
Verify communication between computers, TruLogic, vessel stations and additional equipment
Who we are looking for: experience, skills & abilities
Professional background in Electrical, Mechanical or Software Engineering
May hold a high technical certificate level or an academic degree
Certified Electrician or Controls Engineer ideal
Delta V or other Control Software experience of particular interest
Experience with Single Use Technology within the biopharma sector (upstream and/or downstream) a plus
Commissioning and Qualifications (C&Q) experience in facility, equipment or utilities
Knowledge of Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA), change control, deviations management and document management systems
Troubleshooting knowledge and experience
Proficient in English, additional European languages a plus
Driving licence required

As a Field Service Engineer on our Control Systems team, you will be servicing, installing, repairing and updating the control systems on a variety of our Single Use Technology products (such as single use Bioreactors, Fermentors and Mixers found in an industrial setting). You will work at our customer sites as required, travelling extensively within the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
This role involves a high level of weekly travel across the EMEA region - approximately 50% to 70% of the time - including frequent overnight stays. We are happy to consider qualified candidates based anywhere within the EMEA region
