Summary
As a Designer, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) using AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD, and Inventor software. The ideal candidate will have intermediate-level design experience in industrial or process facility environments and be comfortable working within a collaborative engineering team.
Responsibilities- Utilize AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD, and Inventor software to support facility and piping design activities.
- Create and revise piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), layouts, and design drawings.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, sketches, and engineering markups to produce accurate design packages.
- Coordinate with process, mechanical, electrical, and I&C disciplines to integrate design inputs.
- Review and update drawings to reflect design changes and engineering modifications.
- Ensure drawings comply with applicable project standards and design requirements.
- Perform quality checks on completed drawings and design deliverables.
- Participate in design review meetings and support project schedule milestones.
- High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Experience using AutoCAD Plant 3D and AutoCAD in an industrial or process design environment.
- Experience with Inventor or other 3D modeling software.
- Intermediate-level design experience preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering sketches.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Familiarity with chemical, industrial, manufacturing, or process facility design preferred.
- Experience in the DOE market segments a plus.
- Client projects for this position require US Citizenship.
- Must have the ability to acquire a security clearance.
