About UsTideman Marine, a division of United Plastic Fabricating, designs and manufactures high-density polyethylene (HDPE) boats for military and commercial marine use. Based in Ocala, Florida, USA, Tideman Marine operates a cutting-edge facility dedicated to designing and constructing welded HDPE vessels and custom marine products.
We are seeking experienced Boat Builders to join our team in a fast-paced, small industrial boat manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in boat manufacturing, demonstrate strong blueprint reading skills, and be proficient with both power and hand tools.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble hulls in accordance with blueprints and technical drawings.
- Perform layout, fitting, welding, and final assembly of components.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Inspect parts and completed products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency.
$21-$23/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Requirements- Minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience in boat building or marine fabrication.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with power tools (drills, grinders, saws, etc.) and hand tools.
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with tight production timelines.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
