$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Responsibilities- Design and model fixturing in CATIA V5/V6 to hold vehicle parts during processes such as welding, painting, assembly, and testing.
- Incorporate body part construction, datums, and weld information into fixture design.
- Conduct layout checks with users to confirm fixtures meet all requirements.
- Export 3D/2D data and outsource to suppliers for quotes and ordering.
- Research improvements to fixturing or manufacturing processes.
- Support other requests for fixturing, test equipment, or prototyping within the company.
- Create data for evaluation models for development groups such as Interior Design.
- Assist aerodynamic teams by designing wind tunnel test models.
