Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, test and verify EMI/EMC requirements with teammates, customers, and system architects through development and sustainment of Boeing systems.
  • Develop EMI/EMC Control Plans, Test Procedures, and Test Reports.
  • Perform EMI/EMC analyses and implement mitigation mechanisms to assure compatibility and safety of new and existing systems and interfaces.
  • Evaluate supplier data and design drawings to verify and correct system design to EMI/EMC standards.
  • Assist with EMI/EMC testing of hardware and software systems in both lab and on-aircraft environments to verify adherence to Boeing, FAA, and/or Military requirements.
  • Support project management by tracking and reporting project status, generating bids and requirements, and providing work statements, budgets, and schedules.
  • Perform Nuclear Hardening, HIRF/Lightning, RF COSITE, and Antenna Coupling analyses and test.
  • Coordinate TEMPEST requirements with teammates, customers, and system architects.
  • Develop and implement test automation for aircraft modifications.
  • Apply EMI engineering technology to document and solve complex problems.
  • Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation, and other analyses to predict component, interconnect, and system performance and optimize design.
  • Apply conversion, correction, and antenna factors to EMI/EMC analyses and tests.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
  • Previous experience in defense or aerospace industry.
  • 2 or more years of related work experience with MIL-STD-461/464 and/or DO-160 EMI/EMC.
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic concepts such as RF isolation, shielding, grounding, and filtering.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of related work experience (Experienced level) or 7 or more years (Expert level).
  • ABET‑accredited Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a Master’s/PhD in electrical engineering.
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance, with possibility for interim/final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start.
  • iNARTE EM/EMC Engineer Certification.
  • Prior TEMPEST analysis, test, and requirements development experience.
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing.
  • Experience with Power Quality requirements via MIL‑STD‑704 and related test procedures and reports.
  • Hands‑on experience with MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with software tools: LTSpice, System Vision, PSPICE, MathCAD, AutoCAD, Mentor

    DXDesigner, Expedition.
  • Experience with MS Office suite.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to key stakeholders.
Benefits & Requirements
  • Pay ranges:
    Associate $85,000 – $115,000;
    Experienced $104,550 – $141,450;
    Expert $127,500 – $172,500.
  • Relocation assistance available on qualification.
  • Possibility of sign‑on bonus if qualified.
  • Export control compliance requirements (U.S. Person).
  • Shift: Shift1 (United States).
