Requirements:
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required. All applicants must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years. On-site presence will be as required by the FAA.
Ability to pass an FAA background investigation (US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required).
Understanding of system integration principles (hardware, firmware, and software interaction).
Experience working in a team environment.
Basic experience with troubleshooting, and documentation.
Knowledge and understanding of the importance of testing during all phases of the engineering/programming process.
Responsibilities:
Core Electronics Engineering Competencies
Solid foundation in circuit theory, power systems, grounding, and signal integrity.
Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and system block diagrams.
Familiarity with industry safety standards and electrical best practices.
Ability to support electrical engineering tasks in lab, field, and production environments under senior engineer guidance.
Experience with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, multimeters).
Core Computer Engineering Competencies
Basic experience with programming in Python, C, and C++.
Working knowledge Windows, and UNIX/UNIX-like Operating Systems (AIX, Linux).
Proficiency with computer operating systems, software, and hardware with proven ability to debug complex systems and to conduct reviews, audits, and testing.
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
Basic experience with networking protocols and technologies including TCP, UDP, DHCP, SNMP, subnetting, and VoIP.
Familiar with computer system architecture and network architecture.
Technical Documentation & Communication
Ability to write clear, structured technical documentation including:
Engineering analysis reports.
Test procedures and test reports.
Configuration documentation.
Standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Engineering change documentation.
Strong verbal communication skills for technical briefings and stakeholder coordination.
Ability to translate complex technical issues into clear explanations for non-technical personnel.
Field & Operational Support
Ability to take and support field service calls.
Provide real-time troubleshooting support to field technicians.
Document incident findings and corrective actions.
Support remote and on-site system diagnostics.
Participate in after-hours or mission-critical support when required.
Education/
Experience:
Bachelor of Science from an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited program in Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
