Instructor of Agriculture - Animal​/Food​/Meat Science

Eastern Oklahoma State College is a comprehensive community college providing instruction in a wide range of curricula.

• Bachelors required, Master’s Degree preferred in Animal Science (Meat Science preferred), Agriculture or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with 18 graduate hours in Animal Science/Meat/Food Science/General Agriculture; candidates pursuing the Master’s Degree may be considered with the understanding the degree must be completed expeditiously.

• Understands the basics of meat harvesting, fabrication and processing

• The successful candidate will serve as a faculty member in the Agriculture Division with primary teaching responsibility in Meat Science with other agriculture courses as assigned.
• Serve as the Academic Advisor to Meat Science and other agriculture majors
• Serve as an advisor for various clubs, judging teams, etc., as needed
• Actively recruiting prospective students to the program and institution
• Develop and instruct courses with appropriate technology
• Promote Agriculture Division and college with youth and adult outreach activities
• Serve as a cohesive and collegial member of the Agriculture Faculty/Staff
• Assist with management activities related to the Meat Lab
• Continue in the pursuit of professional development for meat processing, harvesting and fabrication
• Work with students in career development placing students with internships and careers, or transferability
• Work with the meat/food industry related to career networking and career readiness
• Other faculty duties as assigned

Compensation will commensurate with education and experience.
