Position: Middle School Archery Coach (Extra Duty)
Location: Middle School
Reports to: Holly Rhoads, MS Principal
Contract: Extra Duty Position
The Middle School Archery Coach is responsible for organizing, leading, and supervising the school's archery program while fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for student participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in basic archery skills, safety procedures, and sportsmanship
- Supervise and manage all practices and team activities
- Develop and maintain a seasonal practice and competition schedule
- Organize and host at least one archery tournament or event annually
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, inventoried, and safely stored
- Manage the program's activity account in accordance with district policies
- Coordinate and oversee fundraising efforts to support the program
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, administration, and staff
- Promote positive behavior, teamwork, and student development
- Ensure compliance with all school, district, and NASP (if applicable) guidelines
- Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred
- Knowledge of archery fundamentals and safety practices
- Ability to organize events and manage responsibilities independently
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Must meet all district coaching requirements (background check, certifications).
