Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Travel Assignment
Days, 40 hours guaranteed.
- Assumes assigned patient load and is responsible for patients from admission to discharge.
- Recognizes patients' conditions for changes and documents this information.
- Collaborates with the RN to carry out nursing care and participates in updating care plans.
- Performs a wide range of treatment procedures, including heat and cold therapy.
- Performs extensive sterile dressing changes.
- Starts, maintains, and monitors IVs.
- Inserts catheters and NG tubes.
- Administers enemas.
- Cares for isolation patients.
- Prepares and administers medications, including IV medications.
- Sets up for and gives treatments such as oxygen, suction, and respiratory therapy.
