General

Summary:

Under the direction of the Recreation manager, performs basic electrical work, general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

General inspection of electrical systems for safe conditions, including heat and cooling systems and their components within established standards, and monitor safety devices and alarm systems.

Perform building and grounds maintenance and repair and some furniture moving

Performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; replaces washers and other minor parts; maintains and monitors septic system; applies and prepares various surfaces for paint, varnish, etc.

Maintains grounds in clean and orderly manner including mowing, trimming, weeding; maintains all equipment; trims tree branches which create hazardous situations; and use of chemicals for lawns and buildings.

Preforms any and all other reasonable duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

High School or GED

Basic trade skills

Ability to operate equipment such as a tractor, mower, and weedeater. General knowledge of maintenance functions such as plumbing carpentry,

generators, custodial, and the work practices thereof. Ability to effectively work independently following directives and with

co- workers. Must have safe work habits, full physical mobility, physical ability to lift heavy objects such as chairs and tables, able to shovel, and ability to use hand and power tools.

Availability to work the Muscogee ( Creek) Nation Annual Holiday and some weekends and evenings as needed.

Preferred Requirements:
Two years experience, using power tools, lawn care and equipment, and knowledge of basic trade skills such plumbing, carpentry, and masonry.
