LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Full-time or per diem; day or night shifts. We are looking for a licensed practical nurse to provide quality care at Brooke Grove Retirement Village.

• Performs resident assessments, visits residents on a routine basis, and completes all clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Works in collaboration with nursing administration and health care team members to assure follow through of resident care and care plans.
• Coordinates and monitors duties performed by geriatric nursing assistants; provides assistants, coaching, and verbal/written disciplinary action as necessary.
• Monitors medication administration performed by certified medicine aide; provides assistance as necessary.
• Contacts physicians, specialists, and other care providers as needed, to ensure appropriate communication and follow-through of resident care.
• Administers treatments and medications as prescribed and in accordance with physician's orders.
• Coordinates ordering of lab tests, exams, and medical services as necessary, and communicates these services, appointments and results appropriately.
• Communicates with accompanying medical staff director on rounds as needed.
• Performs required medical documentation and maintains clinical records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Attends in-service trainings and nursing meetings as required.

• Minimum of an associate's degree, or equivalent from college or technical school, or diploma in nursing required; and a minimum six months to one year related experience and/or additional training.
• Current Maryland Licensed Practical Nurse license and CPR certification.
