This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced leader or a first‑time Underground Manager to step into a high‑impact role and shape the future of underground mining at St Ives. You’ll lead a major development project with strong growth potential, supported by a competitive package and a culture that values safety, innovation, and sustainable performance.

Reporting to the Manager:
Mining, you will manage all facets of the underground material handling project.

• Safety & Statutory Compliance:
  Ensure all activities comply with the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Act and Regulations, maintaining statutory obligations and fostering a proactive safety culture.
• Project Management: oversee a twin decline development project and exploration programme for potential expansion into a new underground production zone.
• Budget & Forecasting: prepare mining schedules to produce accurate forecasts and budgets.
• Contractor Management: manage contractor performance to deliver key milestones safely to standard.
• Infrastructure: oversee the installation and commissioning of the materials handling capital infrastructure.

• Capability in project and contractor management
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mining) or equivalent
• WA First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency
• A growth mindset, with strong communication, responsibility, and relationship‑building skills.
