Position Summary:
The HR Generalist will deliver a positive and efficient employee experience by serving as the primary point of contact for HR inquiries. Provide timely responses and escalate or route issues appropriately. Support HR operations by managing incoming mail, processing unemployment claims, and handling employment verifications. Complete a variety of administrative HR tasks as assigned. Maintain strict confidentiality while demonstrating strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional communication.
Responsibilities:
- HR Customer Service:
Act as the primary point of contact for HR inquiries, efficiently managing the HR shared inbox and ticketing system to provide Tier 1 and some Tier 2 support. Address a wide range of inquiries, including policies, payroll, HRIS, scheduling, leave of absence (LOA), ADAAA, and other general HR functions. - HR Support:
Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the HR department, including sorting, distributing, and addressing incoming mail while escalating matters to the appropriate parties when necessary. Handle unemployment claims, short term disability claim submission, employment reference checks and verification of employment status with accuracy and professionalism. Generate and distribute reports as needed to support the HR team and other departments. - Maintain Confidentiality:
Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality in safeguarding all employee information - HRIS Support:
Ensure accurate HRIS data entry and a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports - Other Duties:
Perform additional tasks, duties, and responsibilities as needed or assigned by leadership to support departmental and organizational objectives
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) required
- Associates degree in human resources, communications, business or other related field preferred
- Minimum of two years HR experience in a fast-paced, highly detail-oriented role required? Excellent verbal & written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills required
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology & software required
- Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite preferred
- Ability to maintain an extremely high attention to detail & accuracy required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive material required
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and independence required
- Working HRIS knowledge, Paycom experience preferred
- ATS experience preferred
- PHR or SHRM certification preferred
