Warehouse Operator I
This role supports the distribution of materials & Customer Product Equipment (CPE) to various boundary partners, including Field Service Technicians, Installation Contractors, Solution Stores, and 3rd Party Stores.
Shift Time:
Monday – Friday, 7am to 3:30pm CST. All candidates must be comfortable with being placed on‑call for emergencies after hours (after 3:30pm CST and on weekends). Each employee would be placed on an on‑call rotation for 2 weeks every 12–14 weeks.
Travel:
Position requires local travel to and from the warehouse for work shifts and to deliver Cox equipment within the area.
- Receiving and putting away CPE shipments and material products into assigned bin/row locations from a Primary Distribution Center (PDC) or manufacturer.
- Fulfill CPE and material orders to boundary partners; monitor inventory levels and restock appropriately.
- Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) applications & scanners to perform warehouse functions.
- Process CPE returns by preparing returns for shipment back to the PDC (sorting, boxing, labeling, shrink wrapping & staging on pallets).
- Monitor and restock quick‑pick locations to maintain adequate inventory levels.
- Operate light warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, carts, forklifts and larger delivery vehicles for pickup, delivery, loading/unloading of CPE, materials, equipment and mail.
- Assist in daily cycle counts to audit physical and systemic accuracy of inventory.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- High School Diploma or GED; generally less than 2 years’ experience in a related field.
- Safe driver with valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain a Driver Qualification File.
- Knowledge of basic computing skills (e.g., E‑mail, Microsoft Office).
- Ability to learn warehouse inventory management systems such as CHAT, Oracle, ICOMS.
- Physical ability to lift 50–70 pounds and handle warehouse tools, equipment, and weather conditions.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including night shifts and on‑call rotations.
- Preferred: at least 1 year experience operating 20–26 foot box trucks.
