Position: Payroll Specialist remote)
Description
As part of the People & Culture Payroll Services team, you will deliver excellent support and impeccable customer service to over 24,000 internal team members and many external customers across Canada.

We are seeking a person who thrives in a dynamic environment, challenges the status quo, and keeps our payroll processes running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Schedule and process Production Payroll Runs.

Submit the bank file to ensure accurate and timely payment to Team members and Board of Directors.

Reconcile net pay and redirect bank deposits.

Prepare off‑cycle pay runs between regular payroll runs.

Clear claims resulting from over payments.

Print cheques and courier or mail each pay period.

Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and update payroll information.

Act as the primary contact for employee questions regarding pay.

Upload changes to payroll payments through dataloads.

Respond to other ad‑hoc requests from business.

Collaborate effectively with the national team and P&C Operations team.

Build relationships with stakeholders and support their needs.

Collaborate with leaders to manage escalations and identify efficiency opportunities.

Qualifications

Certification:
Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification from the National Payroll Institute.

Technical proficiency:
Strong knowledge of payroll software (e.g., SAP, Success Factors), Google Sheets and MS Office, especially Excel.

High attention to detail, strong numerical aptitude, and a commitment to confidentiality.

Advanced knowledge of English is required for frequent communication in English with external and internal parties and use of IT tools.

Great‑to‑haves

CPM certification with the National Payroll Institute.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $57,000–$105,000.

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 10%.
