Who is the Koltiva Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. This role involves market research, lead generation, client relationship management, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.

What are the key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager

Business Development Strategies

  • Design and implement comprehensive sales strategies for specific sector to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

Client Acquisition

  • Identify potential clients and industry opportunities through research and networking, including the participation in key sustainability events.
  • Develop and execute strategies to generate new leads and convert them into clients.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients.

Contract Management

  • Prepare proposals for the public and private sector, negotiate, and finalize contracts with clients.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements during the contracting process.

Client Management

  • Act as a primary point of contact for high-level client management.
  • Foster strong, long-term relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Address and resolve client escalations efficiently and effectively.

Client Retention

  • Proactively manage the contract renewal process to retain clients.
  • Analyze client needs and propose solutions to ensure ongoing partnerships.
  • Provide insights and feedback to internal teams to improve Koltiva’s offerings based on client and sector needs.
What are the requirement of the Position?
  • Master or Bachelor’s degree in business, sustainable development, agriculture, or a related field.
  • Minium of 5 years of experience in business development for public and private sector, sales, or account management, especially related to agriculture, climate, and rural development.
  • Knowledge of agriculture commodities and sustainability issues, prior experience with smallholders and sustainable sourcing is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in at least one of the following sectors:
    Rubber, palm oil, cocoa, or coffee sector.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) and preferably Indonesian. Other languages, such as Mandarin or Thai is an advantage
  • Based in Indonesia, either in Jakarta or Sanur-Bali office.
