Operations Manager
Position Summary
Responsibility to prepare and execute budgets by developing cost estimates for requested and planned projects, approve purchases of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies, provide technical assistance for purchases, and verify receipt and acceptance of purchases.
Responsibilities- Manage internal scheduled projects by determining work assignment priority, planning assignments, developing and maintaining workforce needs.
- Create punch lists to document discrepancies and ensure completion of projects and assignments.
- Source, verify and approve material requisitions.
- Gather capital expenditures lists and develop scopes of work for asset updates in assigned facilities.
- Identify issues related to regular service.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by following Walmart safety policy and environmental guidelines.
- Control company costs by conducting price comparisons of parts, equipment and travel‑related expenditures.
- Submit warranty claims and expense vouchers, weekly summaries, and work orders.
- Lead third‑party providers through coaching and performance evaluations.
- Direct quality assurance inspections.
- Communicate with facility users to assess and resolve customer problems and complaints.
- Maintain work environments according to Walmart policies.
- Implement upgrades to convert facilities into sustainable units and assess potential improvements to lower operating costs.
- Coordinate with Home Office support to standardize equipment and reduce inventory.
- Source tools and equipment for repairs.
- Ensure completed work meets quality and safety requirements.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to identify business needs and drive improvement opportunities.
- Model compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity and support the Open Door Policy.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 – $35.00, with additional premiums based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Valid, state‑issued driver’s license.
- No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
- No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
- No serious traffic violations in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
- No preventable accidents in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
- Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure a medical certification with a minimum of a 90‑day card.
- Ability to read and speak in English as required by FMCSO Section 391.11(b)(2).
- Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.
- Certified Facilities Manager (CFM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or related certification.
- Third‑party management experience.
