Broadleaf Books, an imprint of Augsburg Fortress Publishers, seeks an Acquisitions Editor to acquire 12–15 adult trade nonfiction titles annually at the intersection of religion, culture, and public life. This role involves soliciting and evaluating proposals, presenting projects for approval, guiding authors through substantive revisions, and preparing manuscripts for production. The editor will cultivate strong relationships with authors and agents, monitor market trends, meet financial goals, and collaborate closely with editorial, production, and marketing teams.
Qualified candidates have a bachelor’s degree, 2–3 years of adult trade acquisitions experience, strong editorial judgment, and a passion for inclusive, impactful publishing. This is a hybrid or fully remote position.
The salary range for this position is $60,000–$70,000 annually, depending on qualifications and internal equity.
