Visual Effects Artist

Base pay range

$55.00/hr - $75.00/hr

An Insight Global client is seeking to hire talented VFX Artists for a fully remote contract opportunity!

• Role Focus:
  This is a VFX specialist position, not a motion designer role. Candidates must have hands‑on experience creating visual effects for film or AAA gaming.
• Objective:
  Enhance videos—primarily landscapes or subjects—with semi‑realistic, enriching visual effects.
• Creative Direction:
  Inspired by Higgs‑Field style effects (e.g., motion wraps, dynamic elements around hands) to add depth and energy to footage.

• 5+ years of experience as a VFX Artist with an excellent portfolio displaying previous work.
• Skilled in tools such as Houdini, Nuke, Maya, and Adobe After Effects.
• Skilled in creating actual motion effects and animation (vs matte painting, green‑screen replacement, reflection removal, etc.).
• Motion Graphics experience such as creating animated titles, lower thirds, infographics, and other dynamic elements for video projects.
• Strong understanding of compositing, keyframing, and animation principles.

• Previous experience working on action and fantasy films (e.g., Marvel movies) and/or DC comic movies (Batman, Superman, etc.).
• Previous experience working on AAA games.
