Posted: October 2025 Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 base salary
The Onboarding Expert is responsible for ensuring new customers are set up for success from the moment they decide to adopt Shelterluv. This role will guide organizations through system setup, data migration, and training until they are fully live and comfortable using the platform in their day-to-day operations.
A key aspect of this role is providing on-site onboarding support to larger customers, traveling to their location during the multi-day go-live process to ensure a smooth and confident launch.
What You'll Do- Lead customers through the complete onboarding process, from kickoff to live operations.
- Manage data imports and migrations, ensuring accuracy and continuity from legacy systems.
- Conduct remote training, check‑ins, and onboarding calls to guide customers and maintain momentum.
- Travel to customer sites for on‑site onboarding during key go‑live launches.
- Work cross‑functionally with Sales, Product, and Support teams to provide seamless customer transitions.
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of onboarding resources, including training materials and guides.
- Troubleshoot onboarding challenges, offering practical, customer‑centered solutions.
- Serve as a Shelterluv product expert and trusted advisor to animal welfare organizations.
- Experience in animal welfare, onboarding, implementation, training, or customer success
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customer projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence in presenting and training.
- Problem‑solving mindset with calmness under pressure, especially during live launches.
- Ability and willingness to travel (approximately 30–45%).
- Familiarity with SaaS tools such as Zendesk, Hub Spot, Jira, Zoom, and Trello is a plus.
