Position OverviewThe Architect will support the architectural team in the design and execution of a wide range of projects, including work for municipal clients and private-sector developers. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in architectural design, project documentation, and coordination while contributing to the success of both public and private sector initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, strong communication skills, and an eagerness to grow within a collaborative and creative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development of architectural design concepts, drawings, and presentation materials.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and construction documents using Revit and other design software.
- Contribute to project design meetings, refining design ideas and ensuring alignment with client goals and requirements.
- Collaborate with internal project teams, external consultants, and clients to ensure effective communication and seamless project execution.
- Assist in preparing design presentations and reports for municipal clients, private developers, and other stakeholders.
- Respond to client inquiries and manage relationships to ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead project‑specific project management exercises while working directly with senior architectural leadership.
- Help prepare and organize project documentation, including architectural drawings, technical specifications, and permitting documents.
- Coordinate zoning, permitting, and code compliance, ensuring projects meet all local regulations and requirements.
- Support senior architects in conducting site analysis and coordinating design work with engineers and other disciplines.
- Support sustainable design efforts, incorporating energy‑efficient solutions and materials into designs.
- Stay informed on architectural trends, best practices, and industry standards to contribute fresh ideas and innovative solutions.
- Participate in mentoring, development opportunities, continuing education, professional certifications, and industry events.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- 2–8 years of post‑licensure professional experience, with a focus on municipal and private‑sector development preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit, Sketch Up, and other design and drafting software.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building codes, and municipal regulations.
- Familiarity with construction documentation, specifications, and project coordination.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced setting.
- Passion for design and eagerness to grow in the architecture field.
- Preferred:
Experience on municipal, residential, commercial, or mixed‑use projects; LEED Green Associate or other sustainability certifications; knowledge of site analysis and environmental considerations.
