DescriptionPope Design Group is seeking a passionate, ambitious and thoughtful Senior Project Architect to make a positive and impactful difference in our community through the spaces we create. We are a multidisciplinary firm that partners with clients across the country to design environments that enhance lives. In this role you will work closely with the Project Manager and an integrated team of design professionals to develop design concepts into high‑quality documents for our clients.

- Work with minimal direction of Principals and Project Managers to develop and creatively design concepts for client projects.
- Perform architectural design and documentation work for projects involving new construction, additions, and alteration of existing buildings and facilities.
- Interface with clients on design issues, assist with troubleshooting, and develop architectural solutions.
- Interpret design concepts and assist in translating them into workable construction systems and evaluating alternatives.
- Coordinate specifications and drawings, including consultant coordination, and make independent decisions for projects and teams.
- Provide technical oversight and coordination of project activities with clients, consultants, contractors, and staff.
- Review and implement local, state, and federal building codes, ensure constructability, and maintain architectural standards of practice.
- Apply QA/QC methods throughout projects, coordinate QA/QC reviews, and implement recommendations.
- Be responsible for finished plans, specifications, and material approvals within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Participate in all aspects of construction administration duties including site visits, shop drawing reviews, RFIs, change orders, and review pay applications.
- Maintain records documenting phases of client/architect/contractor relationships and activities.
- Receive project direction from the Project Manager and, at times, manage overall client projects.
- Mentor design associates and assist the Project Manager with staff direction on architectural design concepts.
- Develop a positive relationship of trust with clients and foster commitment to client service.
- Communicate with clients to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews, and delivery of final presentations.
- Work with the Project Manager and clients to confirm objectives, formulate options, and prepare and conduct design and technical presentations.
- Manage client relationships and projects when required.
- Identify new business opportunities while maintaining current client relationships.
- Licensed Architect with a minimum of 10+ years of experience, including Industrial & Manufacturing industry projects.
- Experience in all phases of architecture and the ability to coordinate all aspects of assigned projects.
- Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, excellent follow‑through, ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Experience with Bluebeam and image processing; affinity photo experience is a plus.
Salary range $85,000 to $110,000 annually. Eligible for benefit programs including bonuses, profit sharing, 401(k), paid time off, continuing education, licensure & professional memberships, medical, dental, vision, life and short/long‑term disability. Flexible hybrid work environment allowing remote work two days a week.
