Position: Youth Development Ag In the Classroom Educator - Warsaw, NY
Location: New York

** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
* ** Program Development - 15%*
* • Assist Supervisor and Executive Director with development of Youth Development educational STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art/Agriculture, and Math), Farm to School, and Agriculture in the Classroom School/Dairy in the Classroom programming to meet identified needs and diverse interests of school-age youth.  
• Assist in creating lesson plans, curricula, program materials, and educational resources for school-year and summer programming.  
• Participate in advisory committees and collaborative planning efforts to support program relevance and effectiveness.  
• Assist with structuring programs to meet the needs of diverse youth audiences across formal and informal educational settings.
** Administrative Coordination/Operation - 15%*
* • Coordinate identified administrative tasks to support the delivery of established educational program goals, i.e., confirming events; gathering materials and resources for program delivery; and ensuring delivery to offsite program locations.

• Schedule, coordinate, and/or facilitate school-based program efforts, meetings, programs, trainings, and conference calls related assigned programmatic efforts as required.

• Maintain records of class participants, complete reports, and accurately collect and prepare paperwork as required.  
• Provide support and coordination for various County and State Fair activities including enlistment of judges, scheduling of animal shows, staffing and coordination of volunteers for designated shows, programs, and events.  
• Effectively communicate with parents of school districts as needed to achieve program goals.

• Document schedule of classroom visits and coordination meetings associated with contracts and grants, report to Supervisor and/or Executive Director, as required.

• Assist in utilizing effective marketing strategies in the promotion of programming efforts to include, but not limited to: print media, news media, social media, and multi-media efforts.  
• Effectively maintain existing professional relationships with other agencies, organizations, and businesses to facilitate continued programming efforts.

• Prepare and submit accurate expense reports, mileage reports, receipts/supporting documentation, and/or vouchers in a timely manner per established policy and procedures.

• Maintain confidentiality of all information and data collected, accessed, and/or maintained.  
• Provide data and information to assist with preparation of reports, impact statements, and success stories for funders, advisory committees, Board, and others as requested.  
• Transport self, program participants, volunteers, and/or program materials/resources as necessary as part of performing position responsibilities.
** Professional Improvement - 5%*
* • In cooperation with the Supervisor, jointly develop and pursue a professional development plan as a means to increase competencies relative to position accountabilities and to address changes in programming and association priorities.  
• Participate in all required orientation, training, and/or in-service meetings and events as scheduled/required.
** Health and Safety - Applies to all duties and functions*
* • Support the association to maintain a safe working environment.  
• Be familiar and strive to follow any applicable federal, state, local regulations, association health, and safety policy/procedure/requirement and standard.  
• Act proactively to prevent accidents/injuries and communicate hazards to supervisors when identified.
