Job DescriptionThis position supports the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requirement for Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) to collaborate with Local Educational Agencies (LEA) to deliver Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) to eligible students with disabilities in Missouri secondary schools. The role involves working closely with LEAs, VR, and community partners to prepare students for employment, post-secondary education, and independent living.
The assigned schools will be in the Central Region, and others may be assigned by the Director of the Pre-ETS Program. The individual selected must live and work in the assigned area and will serve schools in Jefferson City, Rolla, and in life-skills classrooms in Rolla and Camdenton.

Applicants must live and serve in the assigned Central Region Pre-Employment Transition Services area and be willing to work from a home office. The position requires up to 100% travel to designated school districts and is not based in Columbia, MO.
ShiftThis is a full-time, benefit-eligible position: 40 hours per week, 12 months per year, Monday to Friday. Remote with substantial travel.
Minimum QualificationsAssociate’s degree in early childhood education, child development, or related area, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience: Minimum 3-4 years, including at least two years teaching or counseling, with frequent interaction with state agencies, school staff, and students in Missouri secondary schools.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in education or related field preferred. Current MO teaching certificate or substitute teacher certification required, with preference for Special Education certification.

Experience with transition-age youth, familiarity with disability programs (vocational rehabilitation, special education), career pathways, and strong communication, organization, relationship-building, and leadership skills. - Additional: Valid MO driver's license, flexible hours, and extensive travel required.
Salary Range: $55,000 to $56,000 yearly, grant funded. Grade: GGS-008. University
